|||This is the most f$(#%&!#ing crazy question on YA! A 20-30 minute cab ride from the French Quarter to the airport is $50, and you're talking about an hour and half ride. Maybe if you called around, you'd get a better rate... I always use United Cab...
I think you should take the $5 Swift bus with the rest of us carless locals
www.laswift.com|||not sure what the rate is today but it's at least $1.60 a mile plus a flat starting rate of $4.50 and $1 per person, plus a fuel surcharge

70 miles X $1.60 = $112

check the schedule here for $5 shuttle: http://www.laswift.com/

http://www.laswift.com/routesSchedules.p鈥?/a>|||too much, but at least $150 with tip|||Here's a perfect site for you

http://www.taxifarefinder.com|||An arm and a leg. Go Greyhound for about $20.|||$2.00 a mile.
You are better off taking a bus|||The base fare is $3.50 in New Orleans and it is .25 for each 1/8 of a mile. A ride anywhere from New Orleans to the airport is $33 or $34. I used United Cabs. I was just there last week. You are probably best off taking the greyhound bus!
