Large publishers aren't publishing books of poetry by unknown authors. You'd need to get your name out there buy publishing in prestigious mags first or just self-published. Many people end up self-publishing. If you just want copies of your poetry in book form then try lulu.com. It's a pretty cheap printer. duotrope.com|||Baton Rouge is not much of a publishing center. I suggest you widen your field. Almost all publishers have offices in New York City.
