We are still removing debris out of town from hurricane Gustav and one of the government departments are "marking" trees around town. I've only seen orange and green markings. Orange is for trees that have already fallen or split. I have a green mark on the tree in my front yard. What are they doing with the trees? "Green" trees are still standing, and to my eyes, undamaged.|||they might have water damage...maybe their week and they don't want to take the chance of them falling so the MIGHT cut them down...but i thought that's what orange was for|||Assuming it is the same anywhere orange paint markings on a tree are indicating the tree is slated for removal. Green is that the tree is OK.|||Well, here in WA state trees marked for removal are spray painted with red.
|||orange (in most cases)mean it is to be removed,,green i guess means it stays and takes any and all blame for problems from hurricanes
