Hello, I will be moving to Baton Rouge in may and the only way that I've been able to decide what a good and bad area of town is based off of the Baton Rouge crime reports online. From what my father says, Gardere is a bad part of town and should be avoided and north Baton Rouge is a bad part of town aswell. Is Gardere ln/ Burbank a bad part of town aswell, or is it only south Gardere that is bad. Let me know Thanks|||Gardere and Burbank is probably the part he was referring to. GSRI is like a nexus of rape and muggings. There's some cheap student housing on Burbank closer to LSU and that's somewhat safer. Try the Garden District. Remember that you will get robbed no matter where you live, and just try not to get beaten up.|||gardere is not one off the best areas to live but at the same time it's not as bad as people would like to say it is.along burbank there are some fairly new apts, and they ARE NOT CHEAP but i hear that they are nice and judgeing from the out side they seem to be nice. you can find something nice in the gardere area if you wish to live in gardere .but if you'll ask me all of baton rouge is like a is digusting to me .i hate it here ,i dont like the uncle tom mayor kep holden and i dont like bobby jindle.|||Gardere.
