i am from new orleans but i currently live in baton rouge because of katrina, rent have gone done a whole lot in baton rouge with people everyday more and more moving back to new orleans. so i would say rent now for a 2 bedroom would be between 800-1200 in a decent area. try new sherwood forest, those apartments in those areas are nice or some near lsu but traffic will be horrible on game days and property near there is either hard to come by or extremly high because everyone wants to be close on game days. just keeo looking anything near interstate 12 would be good areas to look.|||When you say good apartments are you looking for near campus and cheap or luxury away from the campus? Best thing to do is get an apartment guide.|||Since Hurricane Katrina, housing in the Baton Rouge area is scarce. Those place which are available are sky high.
